Two North Shore United boys teams had successful outings in out-of-state tournaments over the last few weeks.

The U16 boys captured their group at the Nike Academy Showcase in Schaumburg March 27-29 with big victories over SC Legacy Navy (8-0) and Olympiacos Chicago (5-0) and a 3-all draw with Lakeshore Premier of Michigan.

This past weekend, the U17 boys were participants in the prestigious Dallas Youth Cup. They defeated Andromeda FC U15/16 Academy of Texas 1-0 and Cruziero Chicago 5-0, while earning a 1-all draw with Rio Rapids of New Mexico. In the quarterfinals, NSU dropped a 3-0 decision to the eventual tournament champion, FC Dallas Youth Premier. The academy squad of the MLS side is ranked No. 3 in the region and No. 11 nationally, according to the GotSoccer.com rankings.
