Greg Bowler

Coach Greg Bowler

Originally from Wales, Bowler played internationally on the U18 Wales National Team.  He coached at the South Wales School of Excellence, working with the best players from area club teams.  Bowler also worked at the Rhondda Cynon Taff Soccer Development Centre in Wales before leaving to attend college in the United States.

At Cardinal Stritch University, Bowler was a two-time NAIA All-American player, a two-time All-Region player, a three-time Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) first team All-Conference, CCAC Freshman of the Year in 2001, and two-time team Most Valuable Player.  He was a four-year starter and three-time team captain.  Greg continues to play soccer with the North Shore United Men’s program.

Greg graduated from Stritch in 2006 with a degree in sport management.  He earned his coaching licenses and spent a year assisting the Cardinal Stritch University men’s and women’s soccer teams before working as the head coach of the women’s program from 2008-2010.

Aside from his work with NSU, Coach Bowler is also employed full-time at Elite Sports Club.  He lives with his wife, Lisa, a former Stritch Volleyball standout, and two children in Grafton.  The rest of Bowler’s family resides in his hometown in Wales.
