As the 2018-2019 soccer season is coming to an end many of you are likely wondering "What next?".  Your child may be graduating from the U7 First Touch program and looking for opportunities to build on the excellent soccer foundation Coach Abdul and the First Touch coaches have started this year.  Or your player may have been playing on a recreational team and is looking for a more competitive playing environment.  Or your player has played at the Academy level previously and feels North Shore United is the right club for them.

For those players born 2010-2012 who are interested in continuing their career in soccer we would like to take this opportunity to introduce our Academy program.  North Shore United's Academy is a program designed to give younger players, 7-10 years old, professional coaching and more advanced skill work to begin preparing these players for a career in select soccer.  The Academy will increase the skill level and overall knowledge of the game for these young players while providing a fun, exciting and challenging environment for developing fundamental soccer skills and promoting a positive attitude.

We offer multiple teams at each age group and accept all dedicated and committed players regardless of skill level.  Teams are birth year and gender matched and we are offering boys and girls teams for 2010, 2011, and 2012 birth years for the 2019/2020 seasonIt is our philosophy to place players on ability matched teams to ensure that all players can be challenged at a level appropriate for their developmental stage at that current time.  Young players develop at different rates and so our rosters are fluid allowing us to challenge all players who are excelling and showing rapid development by placing them with ability-matched peers.  Our ultimate goal is to ensure all Academy players are fully prepared for the challenges of Select soccer regardless of team placement.

The Academy program is designed for dedicated and talented players who want to continue on a developmental path to Select soccer.  Thus it requires more of a commitment than Rec soccer.  Teams practice 2x/week and play games on weekends during the fall and spring season against teams from other state accredited Academy programs.  Travel commitments for said games are greater than the Rec program however the majority of all games are played within approx. 30-45mins of Cedarburg.  Players are also afforded the opportunity to practice throughout the winter as part of Academy fees, although we are conscious that our young players also participate in other sports during this time. The standard of Academy coaching and play is high such that all graduating Academy players typically make a Select team if it is their intention to continue playing.

Our Open House offers an insight into our program and a chance for prospective players to join in a practice run by our professional coaching staff alongside our current Academy players.  Players will participate in the practice, while parents will be given information regarding the program and provided with an opportunity to ask any questions.

Please see the attached flyers for more info on the Academy program and the Open House.
