The North Shore United U16 girls posted a 3-0 record last at the Minnesota Thunder Academy Nike Girls College Showcase last weekend at St. Cloud State University, outscoring opponents 8-0 and defeating two state champions along the way. About 50 college coaches watched the tournament.

NSU first topped Minnesota Thunder 95 by a 2-0 score. The Thunder team plays in the Elite Clubs National League and is ranked No. 8 in Region II, yet couldn't manage a shot on goal against NSU. Maddie Tetzke scored off an assist by Josee Stiever and Lydia Koenig scored on an assist by Katie Bares.

Tetzke and Koenig also scored in a 3-0 victory over Minnesota Thunder 94. Taylor Skorik added the other goal on a Stiever assist.

In the final game, NSU defeated the South Dakota state champion, Dakota Alliance Black 94, 3-0. Hannah Groth converted a penalty kick for the first goal. Skorik set up Natasha Minor for the second tally and Groth then fed Stiever for the final goal.
