The North Shore United U14 boys won the Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association state championship on Sunday in Appleton, defeating FC Milwaukee 1-0 at the USA Youth Soccer Complex.

The boys will join the U17 girls, who won the state title in the fall, at the Region II championships in Saginaw, MI June 23-27. Winners from each of the four regions across the country advance to the national championships in Rock Hill, S.C. in late July.

The U16 boys were the third NSU team to reach a championship game but came up just short in their quest for a title, losing the championship match 3-1 to Everton FC on Sunday.

Congratulations to all the NSU players who represented the club so well in Appleton. Their success is further evidence of the continued growth of North Shore United.
