North Shore United girls teams made strong showings at a pair of tournaments in suburban Chicago in early August.

The U16 girls won the Chicago Fire Quaker Invitational, routing all three opponents by 4-0 scores.

In the Eclipse Select Challenge Cup, the U18 girls reached the championship match against an elite field. They beat SFCW Premier 4-1 and Dallas Texans 1-0, before dropping a 1-0 decision to Iowa Rush. But that was good enough to win their bracket and face Eclipse Select in the final, where they fell short, 4-2.
