Starting in the fall season of 2014, NSU will be going to a new Nike uniform kit.  We plan to use the kit for the next two seasons. The *mandatory kit will include the following:

Game Kit

• 1 Blue Nike Game Jersey*
• 1 White Nike Game Jersey*
• 1 Blue Nike Short*
• 1 Blue Nike Sock*
• 1 White Nike Sock*
• 1 Blue Long Sleeve Warm Up/Game Shirt* (Required for U13 and older teams)

Practice Kit

• 1 Holloway Red Performance Shirt (Purchased thru NSU for $13.00)*
• 1 Holloway Blue Performance Shirt (Purchased thru NSU for $13.00)*
• 1 Black Adidas Short*
• 1 Black Adidas Sock*

Optional Items

• 1 Black Nike Back Pack
• 1 Nike Warm Up Jacket
• 1 Nike Warm Up Pant

Special Consideration

• 1 Swansea Home Jersey (Purchased thru NSU for $20.00) (Required for U13 and older teams)

FAQs

What if I didn’t try on the uniforms?

   You will be able to try on items by appointment, at the NSU office.

Why are we required to buy certain items?

    As a club, we have decided that our teams need to have a consistent look for practice and game days. With the higher level of play, the NSU brand must be carried out with a professional appearance.

What are the long sleeve shirts for?

    The long sleeve Nike shirt will be a cold weather game top for the U13 and older teams, and used also as a pre game warm up top. The coaching staff will decide on the look of the team for each game.         

Why do we need practice uniforms?

    Again, in order to take the club to the next level, we must maintain a dress code. Parents will need to buy shirts for practice regardless, and we are able to provide a consistent look at a very affordable price.

What if I have a red or blue practice shirt from last year?

  You may use previous year practice shirts

When and where do I order Practice Shirts?

    You will be able to place an order for new practice shirts after the parent meeting, once your manager is chosen. The manager will total the orders and send them to NSU for ordering. To keep costs down, we will need each team to send volunteers to press the logos on the practice shirts.

If I volunteer to press shirts, does that count towards my hours?

YES!!

Why Black shorts and socks from Adidas?

    For the U13 and older teams, we will institute a Swansea Kit for special occasions and tournaments. Coaches will decide on when to use the Swansea kit. The black shorts and socks go with the Swansea kit. To save money, we have decided to also use those items as club wide practice pieces. (all teams)

Where do I get the Swansea Jersey?

     If you don’t have one, and are a U13 or older player, you may purchase the jersey thru the club office. Prior to using them, they will be numbered.

What if my daughter wants the men’s shorts?

     You will be able to special order those shorts thru Stefan’s Soccer. Please call them to make arrangements. For most ladies, the women’s short will fit better.
