For the second time in two weeks, the NSU U17 girls have gone unbeaten in a major tournament, this time rolling unbeaten through the Eclipse Select Challenge Cup in Illinois.

NSU beat Real Colorado 4-2, Chicago Magic 8-0 and Oak Brook (IL) Inferno 2-0 in pool play. They toppled two Michigan teams in the ladder play, 1-0 over Michigan Alliance in the semifinals and 2-1 over Waza FC East — reigning Michigan state champs — in the championships.

The U17 girls are one of three NSU teams playing in a Midwest Regional League Premier Division this season. Play for the girls team begins Sept. 6 in Rockford, IL.

Earlier, the team went 3-0-0 in the College Search Search Kickoff in Muscatine, IA.
